The John Deere S130 is the premium 42-in. deck model of the 100 Series lineup, built for homeowners with a half-acre to two acres who want a reliable, comfortable, feature-rich lawn tractor. Assembled in Greeneville, Tennessee, it pairs a smooth 22 HP V-Twin engine, hydrostatic drive, and electric PTO with John Deere’s signature Easy Change™ oil system for simple, mess-free maintenance.

Power comes from a 22 HP (16.4 kW) V-Twin gas engine with full-pressure lubrication, cast-iron cylinder liners, overhead valves, and electronic ignition for fast starts. The Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® TLT200 hydrostatic transmission with side-by-side foot pedals makes direction changes effortless. A 42-in. Edge™ Cutting System with two blades and 13-gauge steel delivers clean cuts in heights from 1" to 4" in 1/4" increments.

Standard-equipment upgrades over lower S-series models include an integrated front bumper, fender flares, cruise control, easy-read fuel gauge, and LED headlights. The seat tilts up for access to the under-seat fuel fill (2.4 U.S. gal. capacity), and the John Deere Easy Change™ 30-Second Oil Change System lets anyone swap the integrated oil-and-filter canister in about 30 seconds – no draining, no mess.
