The John Deere Z720E is the entry-level model of the Z700 Series ZTrak lineup, offering the same heavy-duty frame and HC PRO mower deck as higher-tier Z700 models at a more accessible price. It’s built for homeowners with large properties who want commercial-style durability without paying for premium trim features.

Power comes from a 23 HP Kawasaki FX V-Twin engine with commercial-grade air filtration, full-pressure lubrication, and cast-iron cylinder liners. Dual hydrostatic transmissions deliver ground speeds up to 10 mph, and the generous 8.5-gallon fuel tank keeps mowing sessions long. Available deck sizes include 48-in., 54-in., or 60-in. HC PRO mower decks.

The Z720E features a standard operator station with seat, simple controls, and durable motion-control levers designed for all-day commercial-duty use.
