The John Deere XUV 855M S4 is a 4-passenger diesel-powered Gator XUV 800-Series utility vehicle, designed for operators who need to transport a crew plus tools and gear on farms, ranches, commercial properties, and recreational trails. The second row of seats folds when not needed to increase cargo space.

Power comes from a 854cc 3-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine with 22.8 HP paired with an on-demand 4-wheel drive and CVT transmission. Top speed is approximately 32 mph. The 4-wheel independent suspension with coil-over shocks provides a smooth ride.

The S4 chassis adds a second row of 2 individual jump seats and a longer wheelbase for a smoother ride with additional stability, while maintaining the 1,000-lb cargo box capacity and 1,500-lb towing rating.
