The John Deere X394 is the 4-wheel-steer flagship of the X300 Select Series with a 48-in. Accel Deep™ mower deck, designed for homeowners with intricate landscapes and 1.5-3 acre lots. Four-wheel steering provides a 15-in. uncut circle radius, dramatically reducing the need to back up when trimming around trees, beds, and obstacles.

Power comes from a 22 HP (16.4 kW) iTorque™ V-Twin engine with large 726cc displacement, overhead valves, full-pressure lubrication, and a dual-stage air cleaner. The Tuff Torq® K66 hydrostatic transaxle with Twin Touch™ foot control is the upgraded transmission in the X390/X394 tier, rated for heavier loads and towing applications.

The 48-in. Accel Deep™ mower deck is built from 12-gauge steel with a deep flat-top design, optimized airflow, and compatibility with the optional MulchControl™ one-touch kit for on-the-fly mulching/side-discharge mode switching.
