The John Deere X390 is a premium 2-wheel-steer X300 Select Series tractor featuring the heavy-duty Tuff Torq K66 transaxle typically found in larger garden tractors. It’s built for homeowners with 1.5-3 acre properties who want the upgraded drivetrain for towing and heavy attachment use – without paying for the X394’s four-wheel steer option.

Power comes from a 22 HP (16.4 kW) iTorque™ V-Twin engine with 726cc displacement, overhead valves, full-pressure lubrication, and a dual-stage air cleaner. The Tuff Torq® K66 hydrostatic transaxle with Twin Touch™ foot control is rated for heavier loads and towing than K46-equipped models.

The 48-in. Accel Deep™ mower deck is built from 12-gauge steel with a deep flat-top design, optimized airflow, and compatibility with the optional MulchControl™ one-touch kit for on-the-fly mode switching.
