The John Deere X384 is the 2-wheel-steer variant of the X394, built for homeowners with 1.5-3 acre lots who want the power, deck capacity, and upgraded K66 transaxle of the X390/X394 series without the premium of four-wheel steering. It’s a strong mid-range X300 Select Series choice.

Power comes from a 22 HP (16.4 kW) iTorque™ V-Twin engine with 726cc displacement, overhead valves, full-pressure lubrication, and a dual-stage air cleaner. The Tuff Torq® K66 hydrostatic transaxle with Twin Touch™ foot control is upgraded for heavier loads and towing applications compared to the K46 on lower-tier models.

The 48-in. Accel Deep™ mower deck is built from 12-gauge steel with a deep, flat-top design, optimized airflow, and compatibility with the optional MulchControl™ one-touch kit.
