Power comes from a 24 HP (17.9 kW) V-Twin Extended Life Series (ELS) gas engine with cast-iron cylinder liners, overhead valves, full-pressure lubrication with oil filter, and electronic ignition. The Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® K46 hydrostatic transmission delivers smooth infinite-speed control.

The 54-in. Edge™ mower deck is a three-spindle 12-gauge stamped steel design with 3-in-1 blades for tool-free transitions between discharging, mulching, and bagging.
