The John Deere S140 is a mid-tier model of the 100 Series lawn tractor lineup, designed for homeowners with up to 1.5-acre lawns who want a 48-inch cut and V-Twin power without paying for premium trim features. Like all 100 Series tractors, it includes the John Deere Easy Change™ 30-Second Oil Change System for quick, mess-free annual maintenance.

Power comes from a 22 HP (16.4 kW) V-Twin gas engine with cast-iron cylinder liners, overhead valves, full-pressure lubrication, and electronic ignition. The Kanzaki® Tuff Torq® TLT200 hydrostatic transmission with side-by-side foot pedals delivers infinite speed control and effortless direction changes.

The 48-in. Edge™ mower deck is a three-spindle, 12-gauge steel design with 3-in-1 blades for tool-free transitions between discharging, mulching, and bagging.
